Fall Prevention and Balance Testing: Part II

If you've read part one of this two part blog, you've hopefully begun to take some measures to prevent a fall. If you're looking for ways to help gain more control over your balance, look no further. We've put together some strengthening exercises for you to try.

Important Note: To prevent the risk of injury, all of these balance challenges should be completed in a safe, open environment, free from clutter or obstacles. Use arm support if needed, and don’t try anything alone or if you are experiencing pain or are uncomfortable.

Don't get discouraged ​
if any of these exercises are too challenging. Balance is a skill, but if practiced frequently, you will improve! The better your balance is, the less likely you are to fall and have an injury.
