Massage Therapists
Spending his formative years in his wonderful home state of Alaska, Travis moved to Northern Virginia in 2011 to pursue a career in massage and attended the Northern Virginia School of Massage Therapy. After completing his training as one of the top students in his class, and spending 8 years developing his love and skill for care, as well as building a wonderful family, from busy local spas, to running his own practice, to the joy of teaching budding massage therapists, Travis now brings his adroit and eclectic style of massage to the Virginia Beach area. While practiced in many modalities including, but not limited to, Swedish/relaxation, trigger point, fascial mobilization/myofascial release, and deep tissue therapeutic work, Travis has found the most joy in seeing the relief provided from sports and injury recovery. By facilitating a positive and productive internal environment for his client’s soft tissues, he now works to compliment the recovery process provided by the wonderful physical therapists at Innovative Therapy & Wellness.
Growing up in Alaska, Travis was introduced to massage at an early age. His mother practiced massage for a short time and his step-father, a coach with American Legion Baseball, used many sports recovery therapy techniques with his athletes. Combining an early interest, a natural affinity for massage, and the support of his amazingly talented medical-massage therapist wife, Nikkie, has fostered a wonderful career. Outside of work Travis enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with his 3 beautiful children. |
