Dr. Kirsten Burwell has been a team member of Innovative Therapy & Wellness since 2018. She is a Virginia Beach native who, after physical therapy school, moved to Savannah, GA, then Charleston, SC before moving back home. Dr. Burwell loves to run and has been a coach for 10K and half marathon training programs. She has a passion for working with both beginner and seasoned runners. Using a combination of her orthopedic and manual therapy skills, she is able to return them to their highest performance level. In addition, Dr. Burwell specializes in vestibular rehabilitation, and both adult and pediatric orthopedic patients.

Dr. Burwell loves spending time and going on adventures with her husband, son, and golden retriever.  She enjoys yoga, swimming, spinning, hiking, the beach and anything involving the outdoors.

• Completed 2 marathons,  2 overnight 200 mile relay races, and many triathlons sprint to half IM distance
